About Maison la Gerche

Our B & B is located in the historic goldfields town of Creswick (population 2,500). It is perched on the edge of two major tourist centres, those of Ballarat and Daylesford.

Ballarat is Victoria’s third largest inland city (population 87,000) and a Victorian architectural treasure, established in the 1850s on the world’s richest gold field, while the scenic Daylesford spa country nearby contains 80% of all the mineral water springs in Australia.

Creswick is situated only 1 1/2 hours drive north west of Melbourne and 20 minutes by car from both Ballarat and Daylesford. You are close to many attractions; Sovereign Hill, Lavender farms, Wildlife and Bird Parks, Botanical Gardens, lakes, a variety of restaurants, winery trails and more.

We are just 1 kilometre from the new world class Golf Resort, Forest Resort.

Relax and unwind on your own private balcony above our native flowering garden while watching the parrots and native birds feeding, head off on some of the many bushwalks close to the B & B, or visit the nearby attractions.

 Your hostess, aged in her early 30’s, is widely travelled, has a great deal of interest in foreign languages, faraway places and other cultures, and enjoys sharing her own culture with others.

Your host has several degrees including a PhD in literature: Australian travel writing and the Aboriginal people.
